Poco is set to introduce its latest addition to the F-series lineup, the Poco F7, during a launch event scheduled for 5:30 PM IST today. The event will be streamed live via Poco India's YouTube channel, enabling viewers to catch real-time announcements.
Ahead of the official announcement, Poco has teased key specifications through Flipkart and its social channels. The standout highlight is a 7,550mAh battery, a figure that surpasses offerings in similar segments. This would make the Poco F7 one of the largest battery smartphones commercially available in India.
According to pre-launch information, the phone is expected to deliver up to 2.18 days of power on a single charge under typical usage conditions. Charging capabilities include 90W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging, allowing the device to power accessories and other devices.
Benchmark listings have indicated that the Poco F7 may run on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. This SoC consists of one Cortex-X4 core and seven Cortex-A720 cores, designed for performance-driven tasks, though with less focus on energy efficiency.
If it mirrors the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro launched in China, the Poco F7 may sport a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is expected to support HDR and eye protection technologies.
The smartphone may receive an IP68 rating, providing water and dust resistance. Storage options could scale up to 1TB, with RAM configurations possibly reaching 16GB. A triple rear camera setup featuring a 50MP main sensor and 8MP ultra-wide lens is anticipated, alongside a 20MP front-facing shooter.
Poco’s previous models have been priced under Rs 30,000. While earlier versions like the F5 and F6 launched at Rs 29,999, industry watchers suggest the F7 may carry a marginal increase due to hardware upgrades. However, the price is still expected to remain within the same segment to maintain competitiveness.
The Poco F7’s high-capacity battery, fast charging features, and power-focused chipset aim to differentiate it in a crowded market. With competition from OnePlus, iQOO, and Vivo, Poco appears to be banking on raw performance and battery endurance to gain traction.
